The Brother CS6000i computerized sewing machine is very lightweight and extremely easy to use. The machine features a total of 60 built in stitches, including assorted utility, decorative, quilting, and heirloom stitch functions. It has automatic needle threading, one-step drop-in bobbin replacement, and seven styles of one-step buttonhole functions. A wide quilting table as well as a cover for the machine are also included.
The Brother CS6000i comes with everything you need to get you sewing quickly. You get a great selection of snap on presser feet, a seam ripper, bobbins, extra spool pin, needle set, cleaning brush and screwdriver. The automatic needle threader helps save time and frustration threading needles as does the one step drop-in bobbin replacement and the seven different types of one-step button holes. The easy to reach dial adjusts the thread tension and the LCD display screen makes stitch selection fast end easy. It even tells you which presser foot you need to use with each different stitch type. The Brother CS6000i computerized sewing machine appears to be one of the most popular sewing machines based on the larger number of reviews we found for it. We found nearly six hundred reviews of this machine with 87 percent of owners rating it 4 or 5 out of five stars. Many people stated how much value you get in this sewing for such a low price. It is extremely easy to use and the included manual is excellent. Every presser foot and accessory you will ever need is included so you don't need to buy anything else. It sews quickly and flawlessly and is easy to learn on so it is great for beginners. When you want to change stitches the LCD screens tells you what presser foot you need to use so you don' t have to look it up in the manual which can save you a lot of time. The automatic needle threader works great and the stitch length and width is easy to adjust. Another handy feature is the clear plastic bobbin cover which allows you to see the bobbin so you know when you are getting low on thread. This helps to prevent you from unexpectedly running out of thread during a project. The sewing machine is very light making it easy to carry and it includes a hard case cover and a quilting table.
We did find some people who were not happy with the Brother CS6000i. Most of the complaints related to problems with thread bunching up giving an error code and stopping the machine, as well as needles breaking. It appears this sewing machine is very fussy in regards to the quality of the thread and needles you use with it. Owners who switched to high quality threads no longer had any problems. Many reviewers also stated there isn't enough room between the needle and the body of the machine so you have to tightly roll up access fabric so it fits through the machine. The were some complaints that the light is not bright enough, the machine moves around while working on it because it is so light, the thread tension can be difficult to set, and that the machine feels cheaply made with plastic parts that may not last.
Despite the complaints about the Brother CS6000i computerized sewing machine the majority of owners are very satisfied with it. If you are looking for a machine in this price range and don't mind always using the best thread and needles we think it represents great value and recommend it as good choice for any beginner or intermediate sewer.
