AllSaints Opens New Soho Store

AllSaints Spitalfields, known for its vintage street clothes, hats, scarves, ties, bags, footwear and other fashion garments, proudly opened its New York store in Soho recently.  And it's one design effort that scored big.  The space is close to 15,000 square feet, a wall – an enormous wall – is the first thing you'll notice.  Look for the nearly 500 vintage sewing machines that are showcased on the eye catching display.

The small wood shelves are suspended from pipe with the Singer machines taking front and center.  It's truly spectacular – an awesome work of art.  The eclectic mix of distressed wood, pipes that serve as the staircase banisters, and exposed brick gives the store a certain rugged look, which is just what AllSaints followers are drawn to.  You might see satchels hanging from rustic wheel cranks, threaded piping and large bolts that are as functional as they are impressive and a sprawling showroom that houses the fashions – and that's just the first things you notice when you enter the building.

Be sure to see the hood crew; it's available in two shades of grey, offers ¾ sleeves and is made with super soft cotton for maximum comfort.  Another hot look comes courtesy of the tonic scoop men's tees.  Several different styles and color options differentiate this tee from other design efforts and the quality can't be beat.

Designed for those who appreciate the muted side of men's fashion, the styling efforts are extraordinary, complete with every shade of black, brown and grey one could possibly imagine.  AllSaints misses nothing – one look at its well rounded and versatile footwear collection is all the convincing you'll need.  An eclectic mix of trainers, lace up boots and traditional deck shoes – all with the distressed look – are just a few of styles offered.

This is truly an enchanting space, filled with many eye-popping justifications that ensure you return again and again.  Even if you're not familiar with the AllSaints style or brand, you'll definitely appreciate the effort and because its marketing plan is spot on, you're sure to become another follower in what's quickly become a loyal group of folks who live to wear this brand.

Does anyone know where I can't find new graphics for vintage singer sewing machine?

I have an old singer that I'm trying to restore. I have replaced the old motor because it was unreliable and will soon have it up and running again which brings me to the next part of my restoration project, trying to make it look pretty. Some of the graphics on the body & base have worn, so it's hard to make it out. Its a real shame too because the parts that do show are very appealing. I want the machine to look like it once was. Does anyone know if it's possible to pick up new graphics or maybe if there's is a trick I can use? (No magic marker suggestions.... plz! ). Its hard to describe the pattern it's extricate, lots of lines, red's, green's, yellow's

Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.....

How artistic are you?

There used to be someone making some replacement decals, but I believe they don't do it any longer. The place I'd send you to ask is the yahoo group "wefixit" -- someone there may know of a source.
